i have a great idea but need help to invent it as it is mechanical. who/where can i go to and what do i do?

i need information on how i can get my idea invented and what will i need to show. plus im not good at drawing, is there other ways of getting my idea onto paper?

You should have a professional patent search done.  It runs about $500 and should include the U.S.P.T.O., international and product search.  If it doesn't include all three, go somewhere else.
